What is it?

The greatest mathematician of antiquity. He calculated Pi, invented war machines, and discovered buoyancy while taking a bath.

History

287-212 BC. He famously said, 'Give me a lever long enough and a fulcrum on which to place it, and I shall move the world.'

Key Idea

He used 96-sided polygons to estimate Pi accurately.
