Plain English: Division asks 'How many groups of X can I make?'. If you have 12 cookies and bags that hold 3 cookies, how many bags can you fill?

Real-world example: Splitting a $20 lunch bill between 4 friends.

Common Pitfall

Dividing the small number by the big number. 12 / 3 is 4. 3 / 12 is 0.25.
